FLPP-Phase 3 – Digital Avionics architecture Onboard Computer and Photonics Activities - Photonics Sensoring Demonstrator
The project aims at developing a FBG temperature monitoring subsystem for application in launcher environments. The interrogation unit has been designed to be compatible with the Avionic-X demonstrator, so that the implemented demonstrator will be tested after project conclusion as part of the global avionics demonstrator and thus reach TRL6.
The project provides a significant step forward the qualification of the technology, achieving a TRL5 at the end of the current project. The design has been based on space qualified components when available, and on the non-qualified optoelectronic components have undertaken a pre-validation campaign to de-risk the development.
